I've been doing a bit of baking lately (haven't gotten a chance to document it all), but basically I've been elbow-deep in chocolate for the past several days, lol.
It got to me to thinking about one of my favorite food movies, aptly named, Chocolat.
The story takes place during Lent, and since Easter is almost upon us, I thought I'd post it as a little thank you to my readers :o)
If you haven't seen it, or just love the movie like I do, here is the opening scene:

And just in case you get a serious craving for chocolate during the film, here is my favorite recipe for Hot Chocolate, it's the real deal folks :o)
If you like a more intense chocolate taste, feel free to use bittersweet instead of semi-sweet...
Lusciously Rich Hot Chocolate
serves 2-4
1 tablespoon natural unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tablespoon brown sugar
3 ounces semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
pinch of cinnamon (optional)
In a small saucepan, heat the milk, brown sugar, cocoa powder and cinnamon over medium-high heat, stirring until combined.
Once little bubbles form around the edge of the milk, just before it comes to boil, turn off the heat. Whisk in the chopped chocolate until melted through.
Ladle into mugs or bowls.
